Praetorian will attend the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) Capital Projects Symposium 2026, taking place Sunday 8 to Tuesday 10 November 2026 at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto.
CPS 2026 brings together the people responsible for financing, planning and delivering major mining projects. Femi R. Farinu, Praetorian's VP Technical Services, will be attending and is available to meet with mine owners, project leaders and investors over the three days.
Why CPS 2026 Matters to Mining Owners
The 2026 program focuses on the decisions that define capital project success: securing capital and reducing early-stage risk, contracting strategy, partnership and delivery models, ESG expectations, and lessons learned from both successful and challenged projects.
Those are the pressures owners face from the first study to first production. As we have written before, the decisions made earliest in a project's life carry the most weight, and cost overruns are the predictable result of specific failures in estimates, risk allocation and owner's team structure.
What Praetorian Brings to the Conversation
As a CIM Corporate Member, Praetorian is part of the Canadian mining community that CPS serves. We integrate directly into the owner's team, from scoping through commissioning. With more than 20 years of delivery and over 60 projects across 6 countries, our team works on the owner's side to protect cost, schedule and safety outcomes. Learn more about what an owner's team construction manager actually does.
We combine that field experience with AI-powered cost intelligence, giving owners an earlier and clearer view of where a project stands. Our services cover pre-construction, project services, construction execution and post-construction.
